Spring Outing

The Spring Outing this year took place at a sunny Lundin Links.  The course was in fine condition and the food prepared for us before and after the golf was of excellent quality.

The best score of the day and winner of the Ross Cup was John Ricardson with 39 stableford points and Keith Yuille won the Scratch prize with a gross 72, winning the Scratch Medal.

Summer Outing

The Summer Outing was held at Muirfield on 18 July in fairly blustery conditions in conjuction with the Gullane No 3 option.

The Scratch Trophy was won by Graham Hunt with a fine 79 and Graham also won the Handicap trophy with 34 points, runner up was Alastair Ward with 31 points and in third place, just out of school, was James Cameron on the same score.

The Members Guest prize went to Tony Curle on 33 points and the Gullane No 3 prize and Ronnie Middleton Trophy went to Archie Ballantyne on 39 points.

Highlight of the evening was a two put two at the par 3 15th on No 3 by Mr Ballantyne.

After the golf a fine evening and dinner was held in The Old Clubhouse in Gullane.

Autumn Outing

The Autumn Outing took place at Strathmore this year and out of the 14 members that played the general opinion was that Strathmore was a very suitable venue for future outings.

The best scratch score and winner of the Tawse Medal was Dave Campbell with a score of 73 and Innes Christie came in second with a 76.  The best net score and winner of the Centenary Troiphy was ian Thomson (8) with a net 70, including a 10 at the first hole and again Innes Christie and Dave Campbell were second with net 71's.

Nearest the pin at the 6th hole was won by Graham Hunt and at the 13th by Ian Thomson.
